INTRODUCTIONS

Hello! My name is Lindsay, I’m a stay at home mama to a little girl named Hazel with a baby boy on the way. I have contemplated starting my own blog for nearly two years now. My sweet sisters suggested it to me after Hazel was born but I haven’t made it happen until now. I think I was so afraid that what I had to say wouldn’t be valid or matter but I am putting my fears to the side and I’m going to start sharing my heart. I am well aware that I may only have four people reading this, all of whom are either biologically or legally bound to me(Hi, Mom!). But hey, I want to be an example to my kids and not let fear hold me back from anything. My vision for this blog is to share bits of my life and lessons I’m learning along the way. From small tips that make things easier to living a healthy life.

At 21 weeks pregnant I am really starting to feel the physical aspects of growing a human. My workouts are starting to look a little different as the weeks pass. We are blessed to live next to a great hill that is perfect for running or hiking. Back in my hay day I ran or hiked this same hill daily. It’s been a challenge for me to get up the hill the last month or so with Hazel on my back and baby boy kicking in my stomach. Today I was determined to make it to the top with Hazel in a stroller. Hazel has never been a fan of car seats or strollers. By not a fan, I mean she screams and cries. Very charming. I loaded up our stroller with tons of snacks and toys and set out for greatness. It was a challenge and there were breaks along the way but we made it to the top! The lesson I’m learning these days is to stop comparing the me now to the me of yesteryear. Lucky for me I have a husband that tells me I’m awesome and a little girl that cheers “Go, mama, go” on the steepest parts of every hill. Working out with a toddler can be a challenge but I'm discovering ways to make it happen even when I don't feel like it. I like to think along the way I am teaching my baby girl that health is important and needs to be a priority. Thanks for tuning in and reading. Cheers!
