PICNICS ARE MY JAM
Hazel and I both woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. We grumpily moved through our morning errands and chores and I found that all my attempts to make her smile were not panning out. Getting outside has proven to be the best thing for both of us since little Miss Hazel made her grand entrance 20 months ago. Picnics have become a regular part of our lives and we totally love the mood boost we both get from eating snacks outside. And bonus for me, it keeps my floors clean! We enjoyed our lunch on my favorite round towel waving to cars and walkers as they passed by. One thing I love the most about my little girl is her fearless persistence to wave to even the grumpiest looking strangers. They don't always return the hello or wave but more often then not, this girl gets the biggest smiles out of the most serious faces. I love that Hazel gets the people that I wouldn't label as "baby people" to smile and laugh. What a blessing it is to smiles being made and moods lifted. It's funny how such a tiny person can teach such huge lessons. Slow down, wave and say hello to as many people as you can, you'll never know how many smiles you can get if you never try.
